Setting off exploring again! Alden was having so much fun!
Alden had fun looking at this old machine that they had running.
This was the cafe where we ate lunch at.
This was the metal shop and they had so many things on display it was really cool!
Alden and Grandpa had fun with this fan together.
Anders was such a happy camper the whole time! He just kept smiling and laughing!
Grandpa studying the drill press they had there.
A look at part of the street area you could explore and how all the workers were getting around. I thought that was pretty cool that even they were using horse drawn carts.
We had to stop at the bakery and try their cookies for dessert! They were really good and massive! Alden enjoyed his chocolate chip cookie!
Drew enjoying his cookie!
Alden had fun sitting in his desk in the school room.
He was a very good little student just sitting quietly and trying to write his name on his blackboard. He even figured out how to erase and start again all on his own. It was fun to see him enjoying this so much!
Alden pointing out that there was also a playground next to the school.
This was the RCMP house where Alden wanted to check out the jail cell and he liked seeing the Mountie in uniform.
This was the hospital. Definitely not as high tech as the ones we have now, but in some ways it looks more comfortable and definitely more homey.
Different things that were in the hospital.
Not all the buildings were open but we still had fun looking at them.
These were inside the Thorpe and Airdrie houses that you could walk through. One was built in 1906 and the other was built after 1886. They were both very interesting to walk through.
There was an abundance of patterns on walls, furniture and floors in the houses.
We also liked how the construction of this house had a place where the ceiling was only slightly taller than Alden.
These were taken inside the Wainwright Hotel that was built as a replica to the original one from around 1908. Hotels have changed a lot in that time.
This was also where Anders and Alden were having a lot of fun playing and laughing together.
This was us waiting to get on the steamboat. It is a half-sized replica of the original built in 1898.
Alden and Anders had fun waiting and playing with each other.
The view while we were on the steamboat.
Grandpa and Alden enjoying being outside on the boat.
This was an exhibit of older trains, some of which you could walk through.
This was in the cabose of one of the trains.
We decided that doing the carnival rides last was probably best with Alden because he might not want to leave them.
He had a lot of fun riding on these boat swings that were built around 1920. He had fun riding all the different boats to try them out.
Grandpa and Alden had a lot of fun riding on the carousel together.

Such a happy boy on his horse!
Drew bought these gummy penguins at the candy store there.
This was the last place Alden played, on the playground. He got to burn off the rest of his energy before we left to go get dinner.
He had so much fun running around and this just finished off a great day for him!
While Alden was playing I went to the Mother's Lounge to feed Anders. I think this is one of the nicest Mother's Lounges I have ever been in. It was inside one of the older homes that you could walk through and it was nice and air-conditioned which we liked!
More of the Mother's Lounge.
On the way back to the car Alden really wanted to ride on the trolley so we let him. He was so excited! He got a train, trolley and steamboat all in one day.
For dinner we ate at a place called The White Spot and we all got a poutine to share since it is not a food that is common in the US but it is in Canada. Alden was also really excited about the boat that his meal came in.
It kept him entertained for quite awhile. He even kept it in the car the next day to play with before we had to get rid of it.
