Raspberry Picking

We had a really fun time as a family getting to go pick Raspberries at Remlinger Farms.  I was really glad that we went first thing in the morning because it definitely got hot while we were there and I don't think we would have lasted as long under the hot sun later in the day.  Alden was a good little helper for a little while but then I think he got bored with picking berries and at that point he just wanted to play with the rocks on the ground.  It was a fun experience and we got lots of yummy cheap raspberries out of the deal.  This experience reminded me how grateful I am that I don't have to farm for a living but, I also don't mind doing it every once in awhile.

Daddy and Alden picking berries together.  Drew had to explain to Alden that we needed to pick the red berries, not the green ones.
Alden had fun finding all the berries that were at his height.  It was nice that we could point out berries on the bottom for Alden to pick and he would get excited about getting them and then we didn't have to bend over to get them.
Alden showing off some of his berries.
Daddy and Alden carrying all of our berries together.
This was how I carried Anders for most the time we were picking berries.  He was actually in the carrier for the first little bit but then I think he got too hot and he wanted me to carry him facing out.  Good thing he isn't too heavy yet!
So many yummy berries for us to take home and eat!
