Walking the Town of Jasper

The first night that we were in Jasper we cooked dinner in our room and then went out to walk the town.  It was nice to get out and stretch our legs after being in the car all day.  I loved walking the town and seeing some of the shops there.  It was fun to see all the different things and luckily the weather cooperated.  It was cloudy for our walk so it wasn't too hot but we managed to get back to our hotel right before the rain started down pouring.

The town was really cute and had quite a bit of character.  There were fun shops with artwork, Christmas decorations, toys, souvenirs, fudge, candy and tons of other things to look at.  We bought a little piece of mint chocolate fudge that was really good!  However, we did discover that we need to be very careful how much fudge we let Alden have access to because it can make him rather hyper. =)

We had a yummy spaghetti dinner!

Anders was very content to be out of the car seat and squirming about.
Alden having fun goofing off in the hotel room after dinner.
Grandpa and Alden enjoying the view from the patio before heading into town.

Alden didn't want to walk very much in town so he ended up riding on Daddy's shoulders for most of the time.

Anders was very happy in the stroller.
Alden wanted to be the bear that had ice cream!
Such a happy boy!

Alden was getting very tired by the end of our walk.  He started using Daddy more and more like a pillow.  Unfortunately, when we got back to the room Drew tried to give him a tiny piece of fudge but Alden grabbed the piece meant to be split between the three of us and stuffed it all in his mouth.  Needless to say, he got a little hyper and it took a long time for him to fall asleep.
On our way back to the hotel this storm started moving in.  We made it back to the hotel just in time to watch the thunderstorm comfortably from inside.
